Character animation stuck on running

The character Ima-Gun Di gets stuck in a running animation quite frequently. He stands in place running, when his attack turn comes up he just runs forward a few steps and continues running in place ...

It happens mostly during normal and hard missions and rarely during challenges. the battle completes as normal and he can still be used.
