Credit Bug - Unable to use Credits from Ultra-Credit Pack & Credit Heist

Product: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
Platform:Android Phone
What type of device are you experiencing the issue with? Galaxy S8+
OS Version 10.5.10-all
Ally Code: (Find it here: http://bit.ly/AllyCode ) 653-985-955
What type of issue do you have? Missing Rewards
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Summarize your bug It began when I purchased the 1,120 crystal Credit Ultra-Pack. I then received approximately 2.1 million credits, which the game shows I have at the top right corner of the screen. However, when I go to my Characters Screen & click on any character, if I attempt to Train them (level them up), it acts as if I received none of those credits. The previous 8,000 credits (or whatever amount) I had prior to buying the pack still show up as usable and can be applied towards training the character, but the new 2.1 million credits cannot be. I went through troubleshooting steps over the phone, did all the ones in the email sent to me by tech support, and still no use. I submitted another claim for callback, and was told to wait another 24 hours to see if that would resolve it. I waited longer (about 48), and still nothing. I was contacted via email, sent them a video of the issue, and was told it was a one-time bug & that they'd refund the 1,120 credits. I then tried to purchase the Ultra-Credit Pack again with those 1,120 crystals, and STILL, I was unable to use the credits I received (so more crystals wasted). I submitted yet another report to EA's tech support. Then today, the credits I received from the Credit Heist Event (5 million total) did the same thing! Until then, I thought the bug was isolated to the store Credit Packs, but no...the 5 million credits I received were affected in the same way. They showed up as if I had them, but when I attempted to train my characters, it would not allow me to use them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I've attached 3 videos, with the shortest one being when I first discovered the issue a few days ago, followed by my attempt to purchase the Credit Ultra-Pack 2 days later once more after I was refunded the 1,120 crystals (being told it was just a one-off bug on the phone only to find out it wasn't), with the last video being of today after receiving 5 million credits via the Credit Heist Event and STILL not being able to use those (in the video, I show what it does allow me to use the credits on though). The 1 thing it does allow me to use credits on is upgrading Mods....I wasted my credits hoping that woud allow me to compensate for not being able to level up my characters themselves so I could compete in the BB8 Event (which I bought crystals specifically to build up my team to use in that...again, wasted).

Video 3 (Day 4, after realizing the 5 million I received from Credit Heist Event STILL wouldn't work, & that I could only use credits on mods....) - https://vimeo.com/275937705

Attached are documents confirming I indeed am the person spending all this money in the game, and I have more if needed.

  • Great, and I just found another problem. Here's video #4 - https://vimeo.com/275945296

Apparently it doesn't matter where I get credits from, whether it's directly purchasing through the store with crystals, through events like Credit Heist, or through Acheivements, I cannot spend them on training characters -_-

But hey, as long as tech support tells me on the phone "nothing we can do," I guess I'm great!

  • And one more update...

Didn't even think about this, but I had 1 pip left on the Bounty Hunter Challenge today. Used a Sim Ticket, received 105k credits, and of course, can't use those towards leveling up toons either.

I'm even more disheartened now that I've discovered absolutely no credits from any source other than Campaign Nodes will help me level up my characters. This will slow progress to a screeching halt now that I'm in the upper levels (level 84). Leveling anyone past 70 is going to be a monumental task, and such a slow crawl. Really hope someone can address/fix this soon.

Sorry, but this is not a bug, and I don't think you should have been compensated for it. Perhaps if tech support could have seen your videos they could have explained the following to you in seconds:

Reviewing your videos there is no credit problem. Instead, you lack training droids. The game is letting you spend a small amount of credits as you use up the last of your training droids.

Get more training droids and the issue will disappear.

  • No, that is not the issue. I failed to mention this earlier, as I had the same thought.

Wasted 720 crystals buying the largest training droid pack since I couldn't see how many droids I have left (they only show up depending on how many credits you can spend). So I took a shot in the dark, wasted another 720, and wasn't able to train a single notch higher.

You should not be so "certain" that I should not have been compensated without at least asking, and instead assuming I just forgot that. It came across as very rude.

  • I thought I mentioned this earlier, but just to throw it out there in case anyone asks -

Any time I use a SIM ticket on a campaign node (Light, Dark or Cantina), whatever credits I earn from that are instantly able to be used towards training.

Example: I have 2.1 million credits, I go to train and it only let's me use 10,000 credits. I then Sim a campaign node, and suddenly I'm able to use 11,000 credits. No training droids earned. It simply allows me to only use those credits I just earned.

If I use all 10,000 credits, it shows up as having 0 when I go to train. I even tried wasting credits on upgrading mods to possible take me beneath the invisible threshold the game is detecting when I try to train & hoping it resets. That doesn't work either.

The 720 crystal pack are enhancement droids for ships not characters ... The most expensive training droid pack is 300-400 crystals.

In all your videos you are using up all your training droids, and it costs the relevant amount of credits. This is definitely the issue.

When you are simming missions you are earning a small number of training droids as well as credits. This is why you are able to spend credits training characters.

You see this in your third video in the first minute. You can spend 36k and all your droids upgrading your pilot. You sim a mission, receive some credits and some Mk 3 training droids. You can now spend 46k training the pilot, not because of credit gain, but because you have more droids.

  • Hi @BigDingusTTU and thank you for the report.

We've checked your account and verified that you've trained and upgraded (star-rating) several characters within the last 10 hours. Could you please confirm that the issue is resolved now? Thank you!
