Dr. Aphra Journey Guide Event Tier 1 Unbeatable

This is ridiculous.  Spent $50 to get the team ready, put my best mods on, and I've tried this tier upwards of 30 times. Same result.  Upgraded Hondo to Relic 6, same result. RNG should NOT be a factor. Skill, modding, and gear should be. Fix your game. Or don't sell these bundles in the store and make people think they have a shot at getting the character.  There is 0 chance a R5 Hondo gets through this. Unless you have the data to back up your claim that it's possible for more than 1% of attempts.

Here's the guide that I used. It's difficult, and maybe RNG dependent but it's not something that's too bad. GAS Tier 4 was a pain (I still have PTSD from Echo's stun grenades). GI has his Ahsoka level.

i have a relic 8 hondo all mods are at there limit...followed YouTubers guides...its impossible to beat. please help

This battle sucks. Honestly it's heavily RNG based you just have to keep rolling the dice until you get lucky. It's very poorly designed, but you will get through it if you keep trying. I think the order of who you attack first makes a difference too. 

“RNG based” is not fair in a strategy game. There is no feeling of accomplishment when one is spending time to be one-shot over and over again. 

Can anyone say anything nice about this event?  

i went through this a few months ago after the bundle dropped, was also pulling my hair out over it.

This is the ONLY guide that actually worked for me (still took quite a few tries);  the one from Xareth that Azpiri posted above didn't work for me.  no matter what you're gonna be dancing with RNG but I hope this helps someone else.

Shame on EA for this ridiculous garbage.
