Finalizer/Raddus events stuck and cannot get Profundity

I'm having the same issue. Missed the profundity event completely because it never showed up in Events.  Is the profundity supposed to be a permanent event for unlock. It's over a year old. All characters over a year old are supposed to become permanently available for unlock. Why doesn't that include ships
