Same here.. Has been like this for about a month now.
The first purchase in any in-game store will result in the longest GUI freeze, about 1-2 seconds. If you continue to buy stuff, the freezing time will decrease between each purchase as long as you stay on the same gui window.
While the gui is freezed, the input event still registers finger gestures and they will trigger when the gui un-freeze again.
