First I've tried all the things EA has suggested about apps in background, reinstalling, cache, etc.
For whatever reason when I join GA for the first round it thinks until the second round and I can't join. See image.
EA help pushed me to the forum, because that's what they do. This has been happening to months. I've reported three times to EA and each time nothing has happened.
Help is appreciated.

When you made your original post, what do you think was GAC's status?
GAC has an 'off-week' between 2nd & 8th (roughly those dates). So, 4 days ago, there was no GAC. However, for some reason during this period GAC states that 'Event already in progress'. This isn't actually the case, there wasn't an event for anybody.
It said event already in progress after it wouldn't let me join. Which is what happened the other day again
Yes, but we're back in the 'off' period. The first week of Conquest is the off-season for GAC. SWGOH has a set cadence. E.g. GAC, Conquest, TB and TW. If you can get into the swing of the cadence of events, you'll find it much easier.
Official name for the ‘off’ period for me is ‘in review.’
