Game freezing at the start of a conquest battle

Has this happened to anyone else?

It was the start of the battle (Conquest, sector 4, golden path node), and Revan was supposed to take a turn according to the turn meter order but the game just froze for basically a minute, and I was essentially forced to quit. I tried reaching out to EAhelp in the app but apparently I couldn't explain it well because it sent me a link about restarting galactic war.

Did anyone else just have to take the L?
