Game very unstable when using Wifi

Hi there,

when I am connected via wifi the game is very unstable. This means loading screens stay extremely long and I frequently get the network issues error Message. Every now and then it restarts unexpectedly. This did cost me many victories in arena, GAC and TW.

In my opinion this is a problem to be solved by CG. Thinge like rebooting my wifi router won‘t solve this. My wifi works fine for everything but Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.

    Hey there, @1970Flash.

    I know you mentioned specifically WiFi, but just to verify, are you able to play normally on your device's data connection instead? This can help narrow things down a bit.

    Can you tell us more about the device you're trying to connect with?

    • What is the make/model of your device?
    • What is the OS currently running on the device?

    it is an iPhone Xs Max running iOS 13.4.1.

    Hey there, @1970Flash. Thanks for the update.

    While we know data is there to fall back on and appears reliable for you, there are a few things you can try to get WiFi working well for your phone again. You can try these in any order of your choosing.

    1. Try toggling WiFi off and then on again.
    2. Try power-cycling your router. 
    3. Check your router's firmware to see if it is up to date.
    4. Try a force restart of your phone and make sure all background apps are closed.
    5. Disable any VPNs you may be connected to.
    6. Try removing your WiFi router's profile from the iPhone and then re-add it.
    7. Try switching from 2.4 to 5.0, or vice versa, if available.

    Hi,

    none of these will solve the problem sustainably. As mentioned in my initial post, my wifi is working fine for everything but SWGOH.

  • This happens to me as well. I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max & I’ve been turning WiFi off when I play.

    I do the same. Nevertheless I expect that this gets solved by CG, so I can use Wifi when playing.
