Happy Anniversary! Game does not work for my device due to lag

With the latest update, any battle has incredible lag for older devices to the point I time out in battles. My device was able to play the game just fine beforehand, however now I have no choice but to quit the game unless this is fixed. 

Happy 10th anniversary! What a way to end on.
