Root Cause
EA Games Store does not accept communications from virtual machines (PC's) that are behind a NAT. This may be true for physical workstations as well.
Solution
- Change the network adapter type on your virtual machine from NAT
- Enable 'Replicate physical network state' checkbox
Conclusion
It's very bad and cheesy š§ that this game does not warn you that you will be blocked -only- from the Store Purchases if you are behind a NAT. There is no where that I can find š where this restriction is mentioned.
I was able to workaround this by logging in from my phone (which is not optimal for me) but there is a daily gift š exclusive to PC Client users that would still be unobtainable if this issue wasn't resolved. I also noticed that the Gifts tab was never available to me unless I logged on to the mobile version. Again, this was never mentioned anywhere.
