Hyperdrive bundle consumed my shards for characters.

Product: Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
Platform:Apple iPad

What type of issue do you have? Missing Rewards
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Summarize your bug I purchased the Hyperdrive bundle for $100 and the characters unlocked consumed my shards. It only consumed them if they were not above 5 stars.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a toon not unlocked and shards in excess like I did for K-2SO as I had 330 for him already. Now I have 190 after buying the bundle.

I had 330 or so K-2SO shards and after buying the bundle I had 190. All my shards I had for characters were consumed if they were not 5* already. This is only for characters in the bundle itself from what I can tell. I had almost 130 Finn shards and now I have 0. Same with every other toon from the bundle.

The wording is poor, the word retained is misleading in one case and supposed to be obtained in another.. all of which should also be followed with “by the seller”
I would agree this is a misleading on the part of ea.. 😕

@obitee hello, please don’t “necropost” old threads, that’s against the forum rules.

How is it misleading if they describe exactly what will happen, and then it happens as described? If you had 150 shards and 145 were consumed to unlock the character at 5 stars, the remaining 5 are “retained” by the player.

Mine were acquired by the game and I’ve come to find out retained is meant to be obtained by seller.. 💁🏻‍♂️

sorry for replying to a relevant post.. perhaps you should remove the search option if we aren’t encouraged to use old posts 🤔

@obitee The search function is there to reduce duplicate questions or bug reports. I don’t make the forum rules, nor do I enforce them - I’m just giving friendly advice so a mod doesn’t have to enforce the rules.

The Hyperdrive Bundle was explicitly clear - any shards OVER 145 are retained. And they are. So...What part of that is misleading?

They are not retained, they are obtained by the seller.. the exact opposite..
and I appreciate the heads up for the rules 👍

Retain: “continue to have (something); keep possession of”

If you had 150 shards of a character, and bought hyperdrive, that character would consume 145 of the shards and unlock/promote to 5 stars and you would retain 5 (the number of shards over 145).

Nobody “obtains” those 5 shards - they stay in your inventory. Exactly as the description specifies.

My 400+ shards for cassian are 0/85 now.. believe it or not, they go to ea..
it is the misleading language I’m talking about..

@obitee If you had 400 shards and bought the hyperdrive pack, and cassias became 5* with zero shards remaining, then that is a bug and not working as intended. You should reach out to customer support.

I did, they extra are “retained” by them.. this is why I asked that they change it to “retained by the seller” or more correctly “obtained” .. apparently not a glitch 💁🏻‍♂️👍
