I need help with jar jar tier IV

So I have been on tier 4 in order to unlock jar jar, but I feel like there is something seriously wrong. I have tried every different mod arrangements possible, I have gone on YouTube for help, but Maul still continuously takes out jar jar every single time. When I watch the the help videos on YouTube, Maul NEVER hits as hard as he does when I battle him.  I have Boss at 335 speed, attackers at 324, and 314, and my Tank at 284 with 71.4% defense. I can get past Maul's first special, but if he survives it the second time around, he attacks again and takes Jar jar out!  I don't know what to do and I'm getting really tired waiting as I have to watch the long video leading up to the battle... Is this some kind of glitch or am I doing something wrong? I need help, because I can't advance.  Can I please get help. Thank you.
