iPhone overheating and battery drain since update
Since the update today. My iPhone is overheating and has battery drain. 10 mins in game, phone is hot. iOS 18.2. iPhone 15 plus.

Same for me. I get a notification also about waiting for WiFi to complete the update even when I’m on WiFi. Tried uninstall 3 times no fix.
Be awesome if the devs would post something about it. It’s happening to more people than it’s not. Only heard of 2 iOS users not having an issue. Everyone else reporting over heating and severe battery drain.

Unfortunately there's likely a clause that says CG isn't liable for any damages the game may cause, and it would be hard to prove that the game in fact caused issues for the battery. But they should address this immediately
I am experiencing the same issue on iOS. It might be related to the problem I posted yesterday: "Download stuck at 1M remaining."
Inb4 underpaid dev installed a crypto miner on everyone’s phone.
+1 (iPad pro running 18.1.1).
Am not going to risk opening the app until fixed. Just not worth the potential damage.

Game has used 42% battery life in ~48 minutes of screen time. Phone was physically hot to the touch and moreso when charging.
Oddly every time I have played the game today I keep receiving this message saying I have to connect to WiFi to complete my update (both on and off WiFi).
