Missing Appo Shards

I unlocked Appo with Rank I of his battle, promoted him to 3 and bought some 1299c Packs in order to get him to 4 and play Rank III of the event. Mid fight, my app crashed and after restarting the battle was finished but I was at 4/65 shards. This technically should not be possible, right? when 4* is required to enter the battle and 10 shards are the reward I should have 14/65 by now.

Please help.
