Missing Gear after crafting as advised in game

Summarize your bug I am having an issue creating mk7 Nubian Security Scanner gear for Cad Bane in the attempt to get to 10. Since the update that includes Chewie I have attempted to create this gear while farming all required gear shown as needed using energy and purchasing crystals to obtain more energy to create it. Only 2/9 times it has worked. The other 7 times I craft all the gear as required and it disappears and does not allow me to create the final gear needed to move onto G10 for Cad Bane. It has frustrated me since I have wasted much of my energy in the game and even crystals I have purchased to get energy to create this specific gear in order to progress. I appreciate your time and the forum to allow me to report my issue. Thank you and I look forward to your response.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By attempting to create gear from scratch on g9 attempting to get gear 10 for Cad Bane

I have reported this issue to EA help and was instructed to only post my issue the forum. I feel this is an unacceptable response since I spent $60 the last 3 days to gain energy to gear up and a lot that energy I spent to craft the specific gear as the game mechanics allow have disappeared into oblivion 7 out of 9 times in attempts.

Hey, so looking into this it's not a bug and there is no gear missing. Cad Bane at gear 9 requires 2 pieces of Mk 8 TaggeCo Holo Lens. The crafting recipe can be found here: https://swgoh.gg/db/gear/109/mk-8-taggeco-holo-lens/

The base materials needed to craft only one piece of Mk 8 TaggeCo Holo Lens are the following:

Mk 1 BAW Armor x 16

Mk 5 BlasTech Weapon Mod Prototype x 8

Mk 2 Neuro-Saav Electrobinoculars Prototype x 8

Mk 1 CEC Fusion Furnace x 8

Mk 2 SoroSuub Keypad Prototype x 8

Mk 2 Chiewab Hypo Syringe x 8

Given that your Cad Bane needed 2 Mk 8 TaggeCo Holo Lens, it sums up to a total of 112 "base" gear pieces which is a lot of grinding.

Thanks for the report! Hopefully @CG_MindTricks or @EA_HighCommand can look into your account tomorrow when they get in.

To make sure they understand better - which gear are you crafting that is disappearing? You posted up two of the same screenshot, one of which might have intended to be a different one.

Those Mk8 Holo Lenses use a surprising amount of "lower" resources. To make a Mk8, you need two Mk7 Data Pads, each of which requires 2 Mk5 pieces (so a total of 4 Mk5 pieces.

In the meantime, note that those Mk5 pieces (I call them Roombas) show up frequently in the Guild Store - 100 guild currency for 5 fully crafted pieces. It's a fantastic and cheap way to stock up on those pieces so you don't need to farm that gear anymore. It won't help today, but it's considerably cheaper than using energy to farm all those pieces.

I've been experiencing the same issue for years and I thought I was just missing something but this time while farming zaalbar gear I'm **** about it. I contacted help and support and they told me to go on EA forums and report it and they would help me obviously you haven't helped anyone else and you never do. Who takes pictures of the deer there crafting why are there crafting it waiting for something to go wrong? it shouldn't be going wrong. So it tells me I need one of two pieces. I farmed these pieces which consists of 5 of 1 specific Part. When I craft them all together I still have only 1 of 2 pieces. I know I need 2 of 2 of 5 for one piece. So after crafting the 5, shouldn't I have 1 of 2 of 5? Well I don't and this has been happening for years. It's time for answers.
