New era battle crashing the game

I was not able to play the new raiders of the outer rim era battle on iOS (iPadOS, iPad 8th gen) today. I have tried it multiple times (a couple times around 11 am UTC+2, and then at least 5 times during the last 30 minutes of the event before it terminated at 8 pm UTC+2 just a couple of minutes ago), but every time after I selected my team and tried to load into the game there was an error message popping up (error code 9.0 iirc) and the error message stated there would be an issue with my internet connection, which certainly was not the case as I was able to do everything else in the game normally. Also I then had to restart the whole game. Ally code 272-216-479
