No rewards despite participation in GA?

Has the Grand Arena reward system changed? I participated in the event with 1 attack, which I lost. I was awarded no points (previously 10 for engaging) and given a notice of no rewards this round for lack of participation.

    If you forfeit instead of submitting the lost battle then you do not get the 10 points for first battle. You must submit at least one battle to get participation credit.
