You need to open the Google Play Games app. (Google Play Games is a separate app than Google Play). If you don't have Google Play Games then install it from the Google Play Store. Then Library -> swgoh -> 3 dots -> settings. Check to make sure it's connected to your Google account.You can also go to "Change account for games" then click "Change" and try changing the default account to one of the other options.
happens to me every now and then => usually resetting all game data via app settings solves it.
If not, Google Play Games data reset and at some point it tries to connect to google play again.
Looks like an issue with swgoh though since no other app has the kind of problem.
