Problems with Apple Promo and issues with customer support

I’m writing as I have an on going issue with your customer service department that is causing great concern. I have spoken to Customer Services several times since I first reported this issue and so far your staff have not even understood the situation and have basically told me to get lost. I am far from happy at this reaction given circumstances demonstrate EA is the quilty party. I was given some money by my family for finishing my exams, being an avid SWGOH player I wanted to spend it on items for the game. I bought 2 apple giftcards that were offered in the store costing $25 and $50 as these gave extra items for the game, at the time I was extremely happy. However, when I logged back in after redeeming my giftcards I did not get logged into my SWGOH account (000-000-000), I was logged into a new account (I did not do this) and the items from the $50 gift card I bought (I got the items from the $25 gift card only) went into this new account (000-000-000). Now obviously I did not want this, I wanted the items to be in my account not some random one that the game decided to create, due a well reported glitch. I have contacted customer services several times now they always respond with, we can’t transfer items and close the case, offering no solution, nothing, just like it or lump it. This is shocking, I get given a present, buy something for my game and thanks to a well reported glitch in your systems (I have googled new account and many people have had this issue) I do not get what I paid for and so lose out, but you’ve got your money so it’s all OK? I have spoken to my guild, several members have had the new account issue and all are are horrified at your response, as if it happens to them, will they also be told to just accept it? If I order an item from Amazon and they deliver it the wrong address, despite me giving them the right one, do they tell the customer “we did our job”??? No they do not, they’d be out business quickly. I am asking you to please look into this matter and resolve it. I did not create or want a new account, I wanted items to be delivered to my account (000-000-000), not whatever account you decide too deliver too. Please action this whether it be a refund in full or some other action that gets me what I wanted and paid for, but the minimum expectation is a full refund of my money as you’ve basically conned me and robbed me at present. I will be posting this on the forum, I was given a present by my family for finishing some seriously hard exams and EA have ruined my present and just told me to accept it, no I will not, please right your wrongs and refund me in full. I await your response and will be posting it on the EA forum.

  • Sorry but it’s doubtful the AI customer service will be able to help you. It stinks but this is just how CG and EA operate. Their greed and fraudulent behavior is very well documented. 

    Your best course of action would be to contact Apple, report CG for fraud, and request a refund. Remember, you are Apples customer, not CG’s. CG and EA want you to believe you cannot get refunded. But you can through Apple. This is why it is important to never make purchases through the Webstore (it’s also why CG promotes the webstore so heavily) until EA and CG learn to behave ethically.

    Mark my words, when the video game industry crashes again, history will point its finger at companies like this as the cause.
