Re: Account Deleted

Hi folks, 

There was a recent update and sometimes, upgrading apps or your device's operating system can sign you out of your Game Center or Google Play account without telling you. If this happens, when you log into Galaxy of Heroes you may think that your account is missing or that your saved information has been lost.

If you've backed up your game beforehand, logging back into the Game Center/Google Play account that was linked to the SWGOH account should get you back into the game. The step to do that are outlined in this guide: 'Recover your STAR WARS™: Galaxy of Heroes Account'. Could you take a look at the steps shared and give them a go if you haven't yet tried that? 

If you still need help after giving that a go, please connect with the support team directly. I know some of you have mentioned you're already chatting with them, that's good! As frustrating as it might be, you'll need to stick with them for help on this one. If possible, please include the Player ID or Ally Code.  They'll need this information to locate the account and help you.

  • I appreciate the reply, but this has nothing to do with the update. I have tried to re-connect with game center and it tells me there is nothing connected. My name changed in game to a default name and none of the connections work anymore to get back into it.

    I did reach out to support, but all they have done is blame me, when I did not delete my own account. Every response is a different person and every time they either ask a question that has already been answered or they say that I deleted it and I requested the right to be forgotten, neither of which I did. Nobody will explain more or do anything else to help on it. Its a 10.5M account that I have had for 7 years, I am more than frustrated that not a single person will even acknowledge what happened. As we have seen with this thread and elsewhere, others have suffered from this too and it continues to be ignored. That feels awful after sinking in so much time and money. 

    I keep trying support, but they have since closed my ticket twice and stopped responding to me, so I hoped through here at least I could get someone to take a look at it and see if there was anything to be done and not just post a pre-built response and ignore it

  • I'm literally having the exact problem. I lost access to my 9.7mil account on the 13-7-23 and I'm getting the same run around. They keep saying I requested it be forgotten but I never did and can't even find that option in game. My account is still in my guild, I can see it. Does anyone actually read these or is it AI now?

    Hi @dinkatoid and @JellyFoxx22

    I'm so sorry. I'm not exactly sure what is happening there for you but this isn't something we're able to help with through the forums. The support team are set-up to examine account cases, they'd be better able to check out what might be happening there. If they've let you know this is the result of a RTBF request, I'd take that to be the case. 

    The accounts might still be recoverable if you can share the Player ID for the account you're trying to regain access to with the support team directly asap. Without that, their hands are tied.

  • Thanks for commenting. I have brought this issue up with EA help (am confident eveyone else has too) and am not getting any responses. Can you please raise this issues with them being you have a community manager tag on your account. 

    I'm not taking that we RTBF to be the case. I guarantee I did not request this. There has been an issue or bug in game. 

  • The whole reason I had to bring it up here is because EA support deleted my case. They asked me for info, I gave it to them and then they acted like it was a brand new case and asked me for other info. We did this 3-4 times and then after I responded they just deleted the case. Couldn't even get someone to look into it, just blamed me with no explanation. It is horribly frustrating after years of playing and a lot of money spent to be totally ignored by support about it

  • I feel you. I've had the same run around, 4 times I've gone through the process to have them think I'm trying to retrieve a FIFA account and then just cut the help off.

    Hoping to get some help directly from CG. I reached out to EA help already but got no where. Communication was poor and they insisted I deleted my account; however, I did not. They promised to escalate my case but I never heard back. I'm hoping CG can step in directly and rectify this for me. I have my ally code and player ID. I can search my account in game and see it but with a new name now.

    My account was "permanently deleted" without me deleting it. It happened during the Facebook linking process for using a new device. I have been talking to EA help for the past 24 hrs and they are insisting that there isn't anything that can be done. But I know for a fact that my account isn't deleted because it's still in my guild, and swgoh.gg is still syncing with it daily. What can I say to ea help to get them to realize that they can actually recover my account? It's a 9.7 mil account and I'd rather not have lost 5+ years of daily game time to this.

    I am having this same exact issue to date. I moved from android to iPhone and used the FB linking process and things went south. I couldn't login from either platform and both CG/EA aren't being of any help. This is truly disheartening as I have been playing for 3+ years and have put money into the game as we all have. The account is still there, in the guild and everything so it is clearly not "deleted". There must be a way to recover/relink. I believe we just need to get to the right level of support but going through tier 1 support has not been helpful at all.

    if anyone of you still has a android browser or pc browser with access to the webstore, to the "deleted" account. let me know. in that case i can help

    I have the login info to the webstore, but if I enter it I just get this:

    An error occurred while attempting to validate your code. Please try again.

    I get the same error and trying to login via old android device just loops back to “have an account” page. All I know is that I did not go through any delete process and CG doesn’t want to help

    No, it kicked me out on every device I was logged in on (I had 3 I used). Facebook and Google Play both failed to help me get it back. My in game name changed to, so it looks like it was deleted. That's been the whole problem. EA claims I deleted it and opted into the right to be forgotten, when I did neither of these things. Support just keeps blaming me and deleting the tickets though
