Unable to cast Blessed in Conquest

I’ve lost 30 energy because of this. I started a battle with a Nightsisters team lead by the Great Mothers. She opens by casting Doomed on the target of my choice, and then she gets her next turn to cast Blessed. It allows me to select any of my Nightsisters, but no matter who I choose it makes the animation of the cast, but it doesn’t apply it. It is then still her turn (since a turn ended without an ally having Blessed on them), with casting Blessed as the only option. So she is stuck there, unable to do anything but cast a spell that won’t take affect. 

I do have the data disk “Weather the Storm” equipped, which prevents damage and debuffs to my characters before they get their first turn. I mention this because I’ve never used it before, so maybe it’s bugged thinking that Blessed is a debuff? This is crazy.
