This issue has been patched on my end as of the latest patch, thank you EA_Cade for your transparency on this issue! Now AMD users can finally play the game as normal!

Thanks Cade - I love this game so much (as so many of us do!!!!!!!) and I just want to enjoy it to the fullest now that we finally have it back, and this is holding me back from really diving in.
Thank you so much for taking a look at the issue with AMD GPU lag! I'll definitely repurchase the game if this issue gets fixed.
