Clone Drone Jr. charm doesn't work

I use the charm and create a clone that goes to school instead of my child sim, but the school grade still drops by one grade level which makes the charm useless.

I googled this and found that "Due to an unpatched bug, the child's grades will still drop by one grade level even though the clone has gone to school."

Maybe this old bug could be fixed?
