Sims Legacy crashes as soon as it tries to launch from steam

Hey, my game still crashes when I try to run the game via steam, and I cant even create a sim, It doesn't give me an error code. Processor:    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor                3.80 ...

thanks for all the replies, after trying for two days straight after getting home from work and just giving up. I just went to see if Sims 2 would even run (it didn't, it crashed as soon as I tried). I refunded both games, I will wait to see if EA will fix the issues with the next few updates later down the road :(
