Could you please provide us with a screenshot of the error you're seeing, a vulkaninfo, and a DxDiag?

For the vulkaninfo, click Windows key-R, enter vulkaninfo in the run box, and wait for the scan to finish (the scroll bar should stop moving).  Click anywhere in the window and click ctrl-A to highlight all the text.  Click ctrl-C to copy.  Open Notepad and ctrl-V to paste.  Save the file as vulkaninfo [your username] , upload it to a third-party filesharing site, and send a private message to EA_Solaire with the link.

Here is all the same info I have posted in the other threads. And I don’t have anything vaulkan on my computer. 

Every time I see an update, I get so excited. I still have the exact same problem I've been reporting all along. First it says it needs admin permission (which it has) then I get the Vulkan error. I do NOT have vulkan or any of the other packs you suggested removing. Nothing has changed with the last 2 patches!

Please also try using the TechPowerUp GPU-Z program, it can run as a stabdalone program and you don’t have to install it, but it will tell you whether your graphics cards are supported or not. My Intel HD Graphics 4000 doesn’t support Vulkan, but my Nvidia GeForce GT 650M does.

My game is still showing the vulkan error after the 2/20/25 update. I do not have vulkan on my laptop. I am using the EA app and have no issues launching the Sims 2. 

Still having the vulkan error after the 2/20 update as well. Same flaw. Already did all the other quick fixes to see if they work, tried reinstalling, nada. I do not have Vulkan on my computer or my laptop, so it says "Windows cannot find vulkan info" upon searching. Using the EA App. 4th patch's the charm? Fingers Crossed.

Vulkan must be installed on your Windows operating system for The Sims (TS1) to work. Since it is evidently missing on your computer, have you checked the vendor of your GPU to see if their driver provides Vulkan support?

I see the driver you have installed is from October of 2017, it's possible that updating to the most recently available driver may help. 

Yep. Not suitable with my intel driver. Would have been nice to know before buying if our system needed Vulkan or not. Is there going to be a resolution for those of us who paid for the product but cannot get Vulkan on our systems?  Is Sims 1 the only game that needs Vulkan? Sims 2-4 work just fine, no issue.
