I confirm this is what it looks like for people running Windows at all kinds of resolutions which involve 1080 (1920x1080, 1440x1080)

Maybe this comparison will help, too:

UI is so tiny in 1080 it makes people's eyes sore.
In the link you can see the map and creating-a-sim is way too small too compared to other resolutions.

Can confirm, the UI size at 1920x1080 is incredibly TINY, so much so that if playing for an extended period it makes me dizzy from trying to stain looking at the UI in general and especially the Buy Mode Catalog. :<
Over a year ago, I had the Complete Collection installed because my current system doesn't have an optical drive and I was able to get the resolution/UI perfect with the Widescreen Patch, just like the Original Game back in 2000; yes,I've been playing the franchise that long.
I haven't tried using the patch on this on this 'new' Legacy Version, as I don't want to have to tweak my game with numerous workarounds. If I wanted to do that, I would have just gone back to the Complete Collection with all the required patches/tweaks.
I also don't want to have to plug my laptop into an external display; why can't it just work as it's supposed to? It's not like 1920x1080 is a rarely used screen dimension; in fact, it's more common as most people don't play on HUGE screens to begin with.

Just my .02 ;)
