UI scaling isn't working as it should: both Legacy games

I have bought the Birthday bundle while already having the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection before. The problem I come across is with the UI on both The Sims and The Sims 2 Legacy games. The game itself scales wonderfully, but the UI is jagged, blurry, enlarged.. not as it should be.
For example, my Sims 2 Ultimate collection (patched/modded to work) has a sharp, clean, properly sized UI. It seems like the rendering of the UI in the legacy editions are incorrect?

My screen resolution is 2560 x 1440 and I have a 165hz monitor. But this should not be the issue as I know the Ultimate Collection CAN work with a normal UI size. Anyone else has this problem and found a fix for it? Switching to a different resolution didn't resolve anything, only making it unbearable to look at and in none of the resolutions do I get a sharp UI that is not larger than it should be.

In the attachments you can see (Create a Family screen for comparisons) the larger UI on Legacy and the sharp UI in Ultimate. The games are on the same resolution, 2560 x 1440.

Please for the love of god consider this for the upcoming patch.. 😵 And also Borderless Windowed mode please..

  • Yeah I'm having the same issue. I'm visually impaired and I can't play it because it's too small to see everything. I went back to the old version instead as that ui scale makes it at least playable

I thought about that it could be intentional but putting out the sims 2 that is supposed to look good on higher resolutions and then you load the game and it just looks blurry well that’s not fine. I would much rather have the smaller UI because it looks crispy and nice ://

I think that's how it's supposed to look now. They enlarged the UI for larger resolutions so the usable area is bigger and more readable (before, the bigger the resolution, the smaller the UI), thus making it blurry, and now they're making a consistent UI size for the game. The UI scaling in The Sims 1 doesn't even work at all for 1080p so it just doesn't scale and it's tiny 😭💀 same for the zoom in that game

  • YES! I have this problem also on 3840x2160 resolution it is so annoying. I am dissapointed they havent patched it already, hoping they would because i cant enjoy the game this way
