Babies and Toddlers Disappearing

Hey so I'm playing two families in rotation and when I loaded in to one I noticed the toddler we had adopted was missing and all the sims memories of said toddler had been replaced by §Subject so being a fairly competent simmer I removed all the "corrupted" memories via simpe however whatever happened to cause the toddler to disappear must have done a lot of damage to the family tree as each sim has the "..." next to the sims photos to say there is more the the tree however they are all the same (not to mention simpe flat out cant open any of there family trees anymore with whatever the missing sim caused for me to try and fix it myself) So this post is more to let those at EA know there is still a problem with sims disappearing and "corrupting" other game systems such as memories and family ties, It just sucks as I was really enjoying playing that family and wish I had the way to fix it myself

    Hey there,

    Have you tested a brand new save file to see if this still happens after the recent patches? 

    • In some cases, issues that have now been addressed might have corrupted game saves before they were addressed (e.g. when Sims could disappear, Sims can’t eat cooked food, etc). In these cases, please try starting a fresh save as the game won’t be able to correct the corruption, and working with corrupted saves may lead to unexpected behavior.

    Update Hoodchecker was able to fix the family ties back to a editable state via sim pe however the next toddler I adopted also disappeared when saving and exiting to the neighborhood view

    So I just found where the missing sims have been going, they are being added to the "default" household upon saving where the game stores npcs as well as dead sims and with sim pe I was able to recover one of the missing children even if he seems to be missing all his personality points and aspiration But also EA_Solaire haven't had this problem before the latest patch and I would need to get a new copy of belladonna cove and effectively start over if there is no way to fix the issues with my children being sent the realms of the dead house default  

    Update so it turns out there was a patch 3 which is what I think you were talking about EA_Solaire as now the toddlers are staying shame thought about the 2 that I lost to the default household but as long as it doesn't effect the children going forward those two are acceptable losses Rip Bjorn Shepard and Jake Shepard
