Glitched cutscenes and sims wont eat

so  was playing with the curious household and i bring vidcund to the telescope as one does, then the cutscene where he gets abducted by aliens start and it glitches out and doesn't go the way it should, it glitches out so much that vidcund doesn't get abducted by the aliens and disappear for a bit.

than later when pascal has his baby the cutscene glitches out again, we don't see the baby plumbob shoot out of the adult plumbob (like its supposed to) and when the baby is supposed to float into pascals arms his arms glitch behind his backside and the baby is basically not on screen at all, the cutscenes are broken

than later when pascal and vidcund go to eat they glitch out of their chairs and the action of eating gets cancelled out, i tried over and over again to get them to eat but the same thing would keep happening and their hunger bar kept going down until i quit playing. 

please help!!!!
