How long before it crashes, usually? Is it only with a particular family or any family?

varies- sometimes 15 minutes of gameplay other times 30 minutes. The max I got only was an hour, but typically less than that. Standard is 15 minutes.

That's bad. And definitely not the "regular" crashing that Sims 2 has always had, so I don't have any good advice. Hopefully there will be a fix.
