Many Related TS2LC Open for Business Bugs
- When a sim is checking out a cash register, the code only charges the customer and gives money to the business owner if the business owner and the currently played and active family are the same. IF you visit another family's business - the currently active family and the business are NOT the same, so the game does not credit the business owner for the sale. The business owner family will still have to pay for employee wages and restocking but will NOT make any money on the sale.
- Can't afford shopping items bug: when a customer checks out at a register, there is a check to see if the sim can afford all the items in their shopping inventory. As intended, if they can't afford, the game removes those items from their inventory and refunds the owner. But the bug is that the refund ONLY happens if the owner is selectable. So if you fill your shopping inventory with many items you can't afford and then try to check out, the items will be deleted from the shopping inventory with NO refund to the owner. This causes the owner to lose money as they lose the inventory.
- Salon chair bug: game only credits the owner if a customer is unselectable. So if you visit another family's business with a different active family, your sim will pay for the salon treatment but the owner will not get the money
- Food stand bug: if your sim pays for food at a food stand, again, the owner only gets money if the owner is selectable
- Ticket machine bug: when your sim pays for a ticked or is charged hourly, the game only gives money to the owner if the owner is currently selectable
- Dropped shopping bag bug: when a sim checking out throws their shopping bag on the floor of an OFB lot, the game, as intended, allows the owner, CleanBot, and employees to pick up the bags. This should refund the items back to the owner. However, if the currently controlled family is NOT the owner's family, the game refunds the cost of the inventory to the CURRENTLY PLAYED family instead of the owner's family.
- Date and outing check out bug: when visiting an OFB lot that has a cash register while on a date or outing, and an unselectable date or outing attendee checks out at the register, there is a chance the sim will leave the lot.
