I also have a dual monitor setup, so I keep Sims 4 in windowed mode too.
Why in window mode if you have dual monitors? Your game looks better in fullscreen/borderless window mode

One monitor is hooked up to a Windows machine for Sims 2 and the other is hooked up to my Mac laptop and I use Synergy to go between the two monitors/computers with my mouse and keyboard. I can go between them with the games in fullscreen just fine, and Legacy is in fullscreen/borderless windowed right now. So I can play Sims 4 and look at things on the Windows screen or I can play Sims 2 and look at things on the Mac screen. But I can't drag items from one screen to another or open things from one on the other because they are completely different operating systems. It's not a "traditional" dual setup. When I needed to look at screenshots from Sims 4 yesterday side by side with my game for my build, I had to move the game window over because it's not possible to drag them to the other screen. I also do everything else on my Mac, so it's easier to leave it in windowed mode so I can easily pop in and out of the game. Some of it I could do on the Windows screen, sure, but I hate Windows. If Sims 2 was playable on my Mac, I would have a traditional dual screen setup and wouldn't have a Windows machine.
