I'm not having any of the bugs you mentioned and I'm using a 4K monitor with no issues (though I agree some optimization would be great!). I did turn off OneDrive when I first bought the game.
This leads me to think that perhaps they haven't addressed some of the issues because they haven't been able to re-create them yet. It's also possible they haven't even tried. There's been no communication on Sims 2 for quite some time.
In order for IKEA to get added again, IKEA and EA would need to strike a new deal. However, anyone who owns the pack already in another iteration can manually add it themselves. For which I'm grateful. I dragged it over from UC because there was no way I was leaving it out. As for Life Stories, that would be cool. I have a whole list of things I'd love a re-release for in the series.
My game still crashes and I don't have one drive installed on my pc laptop with windows 11
