Sims 1 + Sims 2 Bundle - Sims 2 is making my PC shut down completely

I bought the Sims 1/Sims 2 bundle, and have been trying to play the Sims 2.

Every time I try to launch the Sims 2 from my desktop, my computer shuts all the way down with no warning. When I try to launch the Sims 2 from the EA app, I get a notification that the attempt failed. I only have the Sims 2 installed.

Also, when trying to navigate to the Sims 2 page on the EA app, I am unable to—I was only able to download the game onto my PC by double clicking the game’s icon in my library. Even with the game downloaded onto my computer, I am unable to access the Sims 2 page on my EA app. I can only try to launch the game from the play button on the sidebar where all my recently played games accumulate, or from my desktop.

My OS is Windows 11. If you all need anymore information than that can you let me know in the comments? Thank you for your assistance.

Thanks, this is showing your Xbox Game Bar is crashing, let's try disabling that and let me know if you're still seeing the crashing.

Xbox Game Bar is an app for Windows. To disable that, try the following:

    1. Click the Windows Start menu on the taskbar.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select Gaming.
    4. Select Xbox Game Bar.
    5. Set the toggle to Off.

Okay, after a quick google search, I have figured out how to disable the xbox game bar, and I have set the background component permissions menu to never.

When I did that, something happened to my EA launcher—for some reason the shortcut on my desktop was removed as a result of a file issue—so I re-downloaded the EA app and ran a repair on it. Once I got all that squared away, I tried again to launch the Sims 2. While the game did load up the Sims 2 introduction screen along with the Sims 2 music, it has been sitting on this screen for the last 10-15 minutes. Any tips on what I should do now? Would another DxDiag file help?
