Sims 1 and 2 re-release dual monitor cursor issue

I am wondering if anyone else is having issues with their dual monitor setup and the re-release games having the cursor leave the gaming window?  I know I never had the issue with the sims 2 ultimate edition so I'm wondering if there is a setting somewhere I need to change on both of the games to prevent the mouse from leaving the gaming window and going to the other screen?   My friend is having a similar issue and I can't seem to find anyone else having these issues or talking about them.
