I’ve been playing Sims 2 almost all day and hadn’t had a single problem! Then about an hour ago my game keeps crashing after playing for 5 minutes. I’ve tried reinstalling & repairing the game and nothing seems to work….i really hope this issue gets fixed ASAP because I’ve been so excited to play this game again! Please see this people of EA games!!!
On my end, it kept crashing multiple times during the Create-a-Sim. I've looked for multiple ways to troubleshoot, but nothing would work. It just kept crashing. Until I stumbled upon a Reddit thread mentioning to turn off shadows in-game. Mine were on highest resolution. Once turned off, it worked, game stopped crashing. Even turned medium resolution shadows and game keeps going. I've played for the past 2 hours and no issues since. 👌
I had the same issue, because my cat came home from work. I moved my sims out and moved them back in. This solved the issue for me. And for starting up the game, i set it in windowed mode. These are temporary fixes until ea does something though....
It lets me load into the world and then into my current household, but as soon as I press play I get an error message me alerting me of the impending crash. Then my game crashes and I have to relaunch it. Sometimes it lets me triple speed through but only for a minute and then it crashes again. Please EA/Sims Team please fix this. Sims 2 is my favorite game and the reason I started playing sims in the first place.
Mine keeps crashing no matter what whether it's creating sim, moving household or just general playing it terminates constantly..
EA needs to sort it especially as they charged us for a game that should of been free
