Sims 2 display settings inquiry

Will there ever be a borderless window mode for Sims 2? I have a multi monitor setup and whenever I am playing sims 2 Legacy Collection and wanna tab out to do something on my other monitor I have to wait for my screen to flicker and freeze for a second before I can use my other monitor. It's a bit annoying sometimes. I hope this is a feature that gets added in the near future because it's a bit strange to not add some modern display settings for a rerelease that is for modern operative systems.
