I'm sure I'm going crazy with this issue! I was playing delightfully, then bum! My game of 1 hour playing has crashed and I immediately thought it's related to the latest version of Windows 11. Aynways, I opened Ea Games library click on the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and there was an option saying ' repair' You know what happened? It became worse! All the graphics turned into like it's 2004 again lol. I also searched forums, asked chatgpt and even sent e-mail to EA Games. Ea games customer servies is not like before. They answered me saying ' you can search your problem in the forum' lol. I decided to downgrade my windows to Windows 10. I don't know, I just wanted to save my game. It was a nightmare, even though I had saved my sims and applied in the new game on Windows 10, all my characters were gone! Suprisingly, I do not know how it happened but ended up saving my 10 year back sims not the latest ones. I was searching this problem, glad to encounter I'm not the only one but bad news: Nothing has changed. Ea Games should update the game to the latest version of windows 11.
