Sims 2 legacy edition issues since last patch

I just wanted to add my experience that many others have confirmed with me. The edge scrolling is completely broken since the last patch. I cannot change the resolution - the option is greyed out now. I cannot type in the cheat box without hitting the windows button, bringing up the start menu, typing in there first, then going back to the open game and at that point I can actually type in the cheat box. This is also applies to the first and last name boxes in CAS. It literally just doesn’t respond to my typing unless I do the process I previously stated. I am actually a little surprised EA has not already released another patch fixing this… as removing edge scrolling makes the game extremely difficult to play.  Or at least released a statement saying they are aware of these issues and are working on a fix! I’m really disappointed and I have been enjoying the game for weeks, I have over 100 hours already.. and now it’s irritating to play with these features removed. I really hope devs / EA can fix this asap!
