Well, to me, Sims 4 feels faster in loading for the moment, but I also like Sims 4’s more... faster gratification in gameplay, I guess? I don’t know how to explain it, but something about Sims 4 just feels faster for me. Whenever I have a short time to play, I always pick Sims 4, and it works pretty smooth for me, even when I has a family in each neighborhood. (I don’t have really use mods or CC in Sims 4 except maybe the MCC one occasionally.)
Not sure how to explain, but Sims 4 feels more faster and more relaxing to play for me compared to Sims 2.
Yes, I think it is faster in how time flies by and how fast time moves (daylight) when trying to make Sims do stuff like gain a level. You look up and it's ten at night. I enjoyed some of TS4 but when I want to play a deeper game and do much more things than just play I play TS2. When I feel creative I go to TS2. But for a quick session like less than an hour I did play TS4.
This.
TS4 expansion packs killed my old laptop (overheating) and my game stuttered all the time. With my new laptop, TS4 graphics are amazing, and I don't have stuttering issues any more. TS2 still loads slowly for me with all my CC, but I still prefer waiting for that game than the fast loading times for TS4. I play TS4 to explore what can be done in the game, I play TS2 to play the sims and create stories, worlds, legacies, and custom content.
Using the open world mods for TS2 (despite the gorgeous graphics of TS4) I prefer my TS2 hood. It's unique and huge. I also like looking at world builders' creations as they are better skilled than I am and their screenshots and edits are gorgeous; TS4 is a bit plasticy in comparison. I cannot build in TS4, I get frustrated with the lot constraints and usually just end up going to the gallery and downloading something so that I don't have to think about the world state anymore.
The only thing I noticed that would make TS4 comparable to TS2 in relation to how fast it is, is that TS4 loading takes a while for me when I play Get to Work gameplay. It feels like I'm loading up a TS2 game then.
