Not to but in here or anything - do any of you know Pescado well enough to perhaps bounce the stuttering issue off of him, as he may have an idea why it is doing that. I was particularly caught up in this thread when DD said she saved the perfectly running world only to restart it up the next day with the problem again - and it appeared to be multiplying in a save that can go from perfect to eventually unplayable in a matter of hours and while the game was shut down no less. Mind boogling! It might be possible Pes knows something that you guys might need to do that keep the stuttering at bay.
My personal opinion - which I by all right should keep to myself as I have not loaded this world since way back when it was first finished - but I still wonder if those domes are not playing a part in this as they are considered an neighborhood object aren't they and not a build mode - playable object, or am I wrong about that? Where I'm going with this is the constant issue of certain objects after a period of time falling underground. It was one thing when it was just landscaping, but since late night I am also seeing lots of fountains too. But in the case of the fountains they are not technically falling through the ground just showing up underground below where they are placed above ground.
They are now build objects and not only world objects~ Late Night added them. There is one in Bridgeport as a Community park.
Having had issues testing Aunty Lynds Medieval World where falling trees made the entire world go stuttering solely because the witches house trees blocked the underground stairs to the world layer from the underground hospital and trapped half the town underground - for me the world became unplayable until I could again regain entrants and exits for the sims up to the regular world. But fountains are way bigger than trees and domes are way bigger than fountains. Could the domes be trying to go underground also, but having the houses under them keep them from going underground?
It's just a thought, as I have found just about any "trick" used to change what EA programmed something to do tends to make the game do things it would not ordinarily do and hince might just be the cause for the stuttering?
No. I did have a Sim enter EAs dome in Bridgport. It's the same build style.
It's a good thought. :)
Also, are the domes in this world the newest versions or is there just one version? Rflong when you rebuilt the world did you use all new stuff from the neighborhood build stuff, or is that original domes still from the base game. That may make a difference if EA has changed the programming on any of the neighborhood stuff which odds are they did for users to use that stuff in edit world or would edit world and CAW have a different set of "Stuff" for neighborhood decorations?
All new domes added in EIG on lots. :)
It could be something as simple as still having old un-updated stuff in the same world as new stuff colliding.
But what would it be- Military base/every building? I would have to go through every lot to change out each building- which is why I'm redoing the whole world. Not just rebuilding what was there but a new world map. :D
If anyone know Pes well enough perhaps ask him to look at the files and see if he sees anything weird as he know exactly how the programming files supposed to look.
It's okay. I will find it myself. I've only poked him a few times when he and his group would wander onto TS2 forum.
Yeah, I did and his minions would tell be I wasn't doing it right. Like I didn't know what I was doing. :lmao:
Just a bunch of ideas, and I don't know if it even helps because they are so scattered. I am after all intruding, I know and if nothing is relevant just forget I said anything.
Oh and thanks for the compliments on my testing WW. I do hope I checked every flake of snow, or I just know I won't be as happy with the job I did. hehehe
Needless to say the probs you guys are having here is mind blowing, and keeps me as distant as possible from this place. But it is so lovely now to look at, so i do hope you guys find an answer.
I may not find the problem but I will redo my world. ;)
