Spring - Week 2
Lane awoke Sunday morning to a dormant garden and had a wish to paint, so he decided to finish the painting he had started Friday evening. He finished it, sold it for §86, and started another painting. He painted until his stomach was growling and went across the street to the gym and grabbed some juice for breakfast.
Only three more weeks of spring and it wasn't getting any warmer, still under 50°. Lane was anxious to be able to snorkel and scuba dive again. After checking himself out in the bathroom mirror, Lane decided to get pumped by lifting weights.
He returned to the criminal warehouse and purchased the building from the other partners.
Monday morning, Lane had breakfast at the diner. When he finished eating, he wandered out back to rummage through the dumpsters. He found a dining chair, a pill bug, a breakfast table, and a computer desk. Selling these treasures netted him §458.
After a much-needed shower, Lane decided it was warm enough to snorkel in the lake in hopes of finding some shells. After an hour or so, he spotted a Nautilus shell in the murky bottom. During his exploration of the bottom of Lake Atherton, Lane increased his scuba diving skills.
Tuesday morning it was snowing again. Lane chose to sit in the cold and read The Mummy in Love on his tablet. After using the outhouse, he sent an insulting text to Heidi Doherty. He then sat back down to read Out of the Wastelands of Your Heart. He sent an insulting text to Sara Joy Lestat. He's really on a roll being a **bleep** today.
After an apple for breakfast, he went to the art studio to paint. The snow had turned to heavy rain, so he was glad to remain indoors. He spent the whole day painting and increased his skills. It was very late when he headed home.
Wednesday morning, he got a phone call from Bianca before he even had a chance to eat breakfast. When he concluded the call, he had an apple. He was able to harvest apples, but the red berry bean plants were still dormant. He spent most of the day streaming videos, browsing the web, and reading. It had rained for several hours, leaving the ground soggy.
Sims Floral dropped off a couple of floral arrangements for Lane from Bianca Davila. He placed them on either side of his chair.
Lane wished to catch a great fish, so he wandered over to Lake Atherton and cast his rod into the water. His first catch was a perfect goldfish, fulfilling his wish. He fished until 6:00 and then went to the bistro for dinner.
When Lane finished his dinner, he went to the library to transfer the profits from his business investments to his bank account. They amounted to §62,400. Afterward, he read Future Spy until it was time to leave.
Thursday morning, Lane tended the garden, picking more apples. He paid the bills of §43. He received a letter from Gayle and a painting from Anitra which he sold for §400.
He went to the bistro and checked to see if they had any diving opportunities. They wanted him to find two sea urchins. Since the bistro didn't open until 11:00, he went to the diner for breakfast. And of course, he went around back to check the dumpsters for treasures.
He found a rug, a dining chair, a towel ring, and a Japanese beetle. After showering at the gym, Lane went to the art studio to finish his painting, which he sold for §99.
Lane found a jewelry-making station at the art studio. He googled it and found he could smelt metals on it. He decided to wander around the valley and find some metals to try it out on. He searched the town and found some gems, metals, and space rocks, then went home to sleep.
The next morning, Lane continued his quest for metals by wandering further out in the valley, checking the beach, the abandoned farmhouse, the abandoned mine, and other remote areas. After lunch, he went to the art studio and smelted the metals he had collected. It took about five hours to finish them all. He had the space rocks analyzed and sold them for §516.
He went to the elixir shop and consigned the metals. By the time he was finished with the consignment specialist, it was 10:00, so he went home to sleep without cutting the gems. He would have to return the next morning.
Saturday, he woke up early with the desire to go fishing. He caught a salmon and his first lobster. He tended the garden and harvested apples and red berry beans. He sold his harvest for §1060 at the grocery store on his way to the elixir shop to cut his gems. Once cut, Lane discussed consigning the precious gems with the consignment specialist.
As he was in such a hurry to cut his gems, he failed to take a shower, so he dropped by the gym to use the facilities. It was a dreary, rainy day, so Lane decided to have a hot bowl of vegetable soup. After lunch, he went across the street to the art studio to paint his first large canvas.
While painting, Lane received a text from the elixir store. He had sold some of his consigned items for §115,928. Of course, there were the consignment fees of §6,074 which had been collected. They deposited §109,864 directly into his bank account. The most expensive item sold was Supernovium for §55,790.
At bedtime, Lane was half-finished with his painting, so he left it for another day. He was very pleased with his current work of art. He was anxious to finish it.
