Hi SimmersThis is the second couple this has happened to in my game and it's frustrating me.I have a YA couple that I want to marry. They're engaged, the relationship bar is all the way up, everything is awesome. She has the eternally faithful moodlet too.With this couple, I have now tried a wedding party on the beach (with buffet table, seating and the wedding arch) and it wouldn't work. He wouldn't go anywhere near the arch. So I tried again with a back yard wedding, and this time they exchange rings, kiss, confetti. But it still says he's her fiance. They can't cut the cake as they aren't married (even though they went through all the actions of the wedding ceremony)Then I get a pop up saying the party was a failure and the guests are sad they didn't get to see the wedding. As an added note, the couple do not live together, as my house has 10 people in it already I can't move him in, to make him part of the family that way. I wanted them to get married and then move in together. This happened with a different couple when I was playing in Bridgeport too, but they were living together. Ultimately it doesn't matter, I have the screen shots I want, and I know that StoryProgression will sort it out for me but I'm just wondering why it fails.Does anyone have any insight? Is the engaged sim the one who actually arranges the wedding party? If not, then that could be a problem.I assume you click on the arch and choose 'get married' when the guests have arrived?

I haven't had a wedding for a while, but I believe that if the couple aren't already living together that the game moves the spouse in automatically. Since you already have a full house, it could be preventing the ceremony from actually completing.

I agree, the full house is probably preventing it from happening.

In my experience you'll have trouble moving any sims out of, or into, an overstuffed household without NRaas Mover. With that mod installed I'd ask the fiance to move in and then try the marriage. If that doesn't work, I'd resort to MC as igazor suggests.

I can have the ceremony, it just doesn't update their relationship status...
But yeah I'm playing on a laptop at the moment which isn't exactly powerful LOL, I've not had any other issues with it though but you could be right.

I can't say what is causing your problem. This couple did get married and their relationship updated. It just didn't apply the the actual game because I had to bulldoze just about every other building in the world to stop them going to work or school. I had needs on static and free will off but they still raced off to work or school until I bulldozed all the rabbit holes and just about every building in town. So I got great pictures but couldn't save the game due to too much missing stuff in town. I gave them a private wedding when I got the actual game reloaded.

Well, that's one way. But may I suggest giving the entire town, or all of the invites anyway, the day off work and school by way of MasterController next time? When I run a huge event like this, I usually don't even bother figuring out who would be scheduled to work that day, everyone invited gets +1 days off. Those who would have been off that day anyway get to enjoy an extra paid day off later on. They and the functioning of society will get over the subsequent collective loss in productivity. ;)

@Karritz - Most understandable. It took me (real life) days to arrange the last huge event like that in my own game. It was just, as I said, a suggestion for next time. If there is a next time. In my case, I get tired just thinking about orchestrating another one of those Weddings of the Century with 80 sims or whatever on the same lot so it won't happen again anytime soon. :)

If you ask anyone who has raised 15 kids, they will tell you that bringing up children is a "skill" even if it's not quantifiable in the game with scores and levels. ;)
