Has anybody created a big city type world which actually works and doesn`t suffer severe lag or any other big city problems? It goes without saying I meant big city world without any non EA custom content of any type. It`s not that I`m interested in downloading a world like that, more to know that it is at all possible to create a big city world and not experience problems at some later stage. I think it may be of some benefit to some CAW users who may be intent on creating a huge city world at this pre-Late Night stage whether it is worth their time doing so.

Johnnywr,Wait until Late Night comes out. Maybe than they will add apartment buildings where more than one family can live. Otherwise its going to be hard to make a really good urban environment. I know that already some players have started creating urban worlds, but it won't be the best it can be until they add that ability.

Damienf519, It`s okay, I have no intention of creating a big city world, I like my semi-rural/semi-town worlds. It`s just that I know a few people have been creating large city worlds and I have never heard of one that is actually finished and working without problems. I don`t think the game (at the moment) can handle such large, built up cities, but I can`t be 100 percent sure because I don`t know if there is a big city world out there that functions smoothly and without bad lag.It`s just curiosity more than anything else.

You could make a really nice city, with some really urban areas, just on a small map. It would be crowded, but it could be done.

I have large city with 700 lots and i dont think the game was designed to handle such huge citys. Im going to replace all the custom content in my city with normal objects such as windows and other things.

I think its very hard to make buildings look realistic.

Jay, I think your version of London looks incredible, your buildings are stunning reproductions of some actual buildings in London and I know you must have put so much into that world. 700 lots! Blimey! You certainly dropped yourself in at the deep end recreating London.

I do think it`s better to avoid CC in worlds, IMO. It usually ends in tears.

I started planning Manhattan before "The Crash" and was planning on starting it again after the fix, but I think I may wait till the fall after the new EP comes out since its more city related and I might be able to accomplish something more realistic. Hopefuly there wont be another big crash like this last time....

This is a good question. I'm hoping the city in Late Night won't lag. I'm worried that it will. Maybe they'll find a way to keep big cities from lagging, and that can benefit CaW.

I have a bad feeling that many of those big buildings will be nothing more than eye candy, if not rabbit holes. Still it will be nice to at least make something that looks like a big city.
