Lonely Townie?

My Sims traveled to China today, and one of the things my Harpreet wanted to do was call Liu Lu. Well, she didn't even know Liu, so I had to find her house, make her go there, greet Liu, and go home before I could fulfill her wish. And I think Liu is lonely or inappropriate or something, because even though their friendship level is low, she continually tried to cuddle with Harpreet. It had a pattern; Harpreet would go sit with her on the couch because Liu wanted to talk, then I would click on the TV and for some reason, it seemed to trigger a response in Liu, who would turn the TV on. And then she would try to get cozy with my Sim. I was shocked at how many times the interaction came up; even my Sims' spouses are not that social.
