Happy Simming to you too CountryChick1412!
I see we, like many others here, are in the same boat. I too uninstalled the Sims 4, as apparently EA made it clear that any of the big issues surrounding the inability to even play our games without crashing or unrecognized DLC pack purchases are not a high priority to get fixed; which has left me cold.
In all honesty, I already own a large number of Sims 3 store content LOL. I bought most of the worlds, plus a large number of clothing sets and objects, etc. Plus I have most of the packs for the Sims 3 with the exception of Into the Future, Katy Perry's Sweet Treats, and Movie Stuff. There is only a few objects and clothing I would love to complete the sets or just to have separately.
It may be easier for me to say that I am refusing to purchase more content for the Sims 3 on the grounds of EA not living up to fixing the major issues our current games face, as I already have quite a bit of Store content and packs for my Sims 3 game usage. But not everyone may be able to say that.
Honestly, if I had little content for my Sims 3 games, I would be very tempted to buy some things to make it all the more interesting. I love a lot of the premium content the store offers most... like the basketball hoop, the Buzzer Beater Free Throw Machine, the rideable carousel, glass blowing and jewelry making machine, the ballet dance floor and bar set, the poker & roulette tables, slot machines, classic gumball machine, canning station, popcorn and cotton candy carts, wood fire oven, deep fryer and ice cream machine, the Teppanyaki Grill, old mill water wheel, and baby swing are all amazing!
Another thing to consider that I have noticed is that even though I have an excellent gaming PC, the game itself is acting much like the Sims 4. They were not designed to handle so much content at one time. So, When I started playing again, I noticed a lot of lag and even more glitching the more content I tried to add. Adding Store content of clothing and hair really impacted the game more than the objects did when in CAS. So, all I can advise is if you don't already have a good, solid decent amount of choices for your game with the various packs offered, then it may be worth to add more. But too... I find that even having most of the packs can offer the game quite a bit that Sims 4 never did or never will.
When I look to all these packs have to offer that Sims 4 doesn't... Wow! I forgot how much I missed them!
Outside the obvious of cars and open worlds there are...
- A large variety of inground hot tubs
- Cool rabbit holes like grocery stores, businesses, spas, bookstores, etc. (I miss shopping for food in Sims 4) Oh! and to have classes there too!
- Kids spring riders
- Trampoline
- Fast lanes is definitely for the car enthusiast as they offer a ton of vehicle choices and decor to create a realistic garage. Lets not forget motorcycles, one motor scooter, and bicycles. (*In Roaring Heights they have a broken down heap of a car you can fix up too)
- Swim in the ocean
- Pool Tables
- Tons of Arcade and Pin Ball machines
- Larger Worlds to include more houses, parks, and businesses.
- You can arrange lots almost anywhere in the world
- Season festivals with festival ticket, bobbing for apples, haunted houses, kissing booths, egg hunts, face painting, snow cone machines, hot dog and pie eating contests...
- The Color Wheel
- A lot more kid Activities
- Strollers for kids
- Playable firefighter career
- Bake sales and lemonade stands for kids
- Kids bakers oven
- Visit and spy on your neighbors. LOL I cracked up when I learned they can peek into their neighbors windows and watch what they are doing.
- A lot more choices of vegetation and trees you can grow
- Awesome vacationing worlds where you can raid tombs and own vacation homes while you visit.
- Multiple elevators on one lot
- spiral staircase
- Being able to play two or more families/houses in a single game.
- The newspaper that allows your sims to find jobs, check out weekly events, find discounts on classes, clip coupons (frugal trait), child sims with cooking skills can read the baking report, or Sims can check the weather.
- More animal and insect choices like squirls, snakes, lizards, birds, racoons, and deer
- A child can go play at a friend's house after school.
- Teenagers could break curfew and get caught by police. In fact, teens in Sims 3 can be far more rebellious.
- Kids can dress up and go tricker treating.
If anyone is interested in purchasing worlds from the Sims store, the least buggy is Monte Vista, Dragon Valley, or Aurora Skies. Aurora Skies is excellent play for kids and families. Monte Vista is so beyond gorgeous! I would highly recommend getting the Alfresco Street Market and Last Venue of Amore, as Monte Vista is more "basic" when it comes to areas to visit. Dragon Valley is also very beautiful and amazing for those who love dragons, archery and yes, playing violin. The only drawback is the NPC's don't always dress to match the Renaissance/Medieval ways.
