@AxelTaylor01 @phoebebebe13 @chesterbigbird @ceejay402 @Stymie Now I am confused if I should buy that( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229626 )desktop because the olny games I play and will be playing are TS3 and TS4
sorry @pri4321 its unclear to me which one you would get if not this listed above. as for the system it is more powerful then needed for sims 3 or 4
So I should get it?
i so understand your hesitancy in pulling the trigger. i would address whats making you second guess. sometimes more researching and shopping can help you feel better to make the final decision. please feel free to ask more Qs if you simply need more understanding of options. and if its price keep looking, the more you review the more you will understand the best prices
like price check
i5 processor
card 750ti or 960 and see price options
I was looking at computers with the 960 but overall they were offering less ram (8gb) etc The one I posted has 16gb ram which is double what others are offering.
and according to this 750ti can not play all eps

Im am editing to add. OP wants to play all eps, sps, mods and cc per op's first post
comparing prices is the best way to understand market prices. as for more ram there is no need to have 16gb with an i5 to game with. and please note the key for the mods the sims card table. the later EPs for the 750ti are listed as maybe. ellacharmed and others at mods the sim are using a calculation this is not first hand testing. helpful for sure but again not absolute. i have seen how cards perform here so i feel comfortable suggesting someone price checking a 750ti."ceejay402;13399752" wrote:

Ok on the 750 but if op has the money I would go for 760. I looked at those too but was finding overall computers offering less at the price range op has given. I guess you are different than I am. if I had a set amount of money to spend on a computer I would find a computer with the best options overall even if I did not need 16 gb ram or a 790 card. I would want more for my money if everyone else was offering less for same price I certainly would not discourage someone from buying something when they are getting their money's worth"phoebebebe13;13399774" wrote:

sorry i dont understand im just offering a way to help OP to decide whats the best choice for her by suggesting she do some price checking im not suggesting she pay more for less or get what i would want.- i like if i was shopping i would be focusing on motherboards not ram count. or what edition card is being offered. so this is not personal or my preferences im just trying to generally helpful since it can be daunting picking the first gaming rig.

I looked around quite a bit at 960, 760, etc but all were offering less ram, many with much less hard drive space. I was just trying to find something in op's price range that would play all ep's and everything else they want. Find them the most computer for their money. They did not want something that they may want to add more ram later on when they can't if it is under warranty. I even posted above if you can find something for them in that price range go ahead. You know AMD better then I do and maybe you can find something there. I asked op if they wanted AMD or Nvida they never answered me. I play with Nvida so that is what I know. Im not up on AMD.
All I know is I have not been able to find a $1200 computer that has a good video card, 1TB hard drive and 16 gb ram other than the one I posted.- @phoebebebe13 and @ceejay402 Okay so I am getting so confused but should I buy that desktop that you suggested or should I raise the budget to near 1300 USD to see if things get less confused... because I can understand almost nothing about computer talk lol

hey @pri4321 i just checked out the reviews and it appears the monitor connection is off i would personally take a pass on the new egg option.
to simplify choosing what do you want your computer to do and do you have any preferences, like for processor or card or hard drive storage space.- Hey @pri4321 That PC on Newegg you link is very good. If you are just going to play Sims 3, the amount of Vram will be fine. Even that video card is already overkill for Sims 3 and 4.
Only problem is that I'm afraid that the pc may have a low quality power supply, because usually prebuilts come will a low quality power supply and it's safer not to go cheap on those.
And I would only start worrying about that video card ram count if you play higher resolution or demanding games.
I'll try to plan a pc partpicker build for you. "Stymie;13400287" wrote:

I would go with the Cyberpower PC prebuilt one. Yes the i7 4790 is better but has little difference in gaming performance compare to i5 4690k. And the video card is also better in that build.
@pri4321 I think that CyberpowerPC build that you linked earlier will serve you enough since it has the right balance. I would also invest in a SSD drive because you'll benefit from it if you install Sims 3 on it.
Forget what I said on the power supply. Yes it may be a low quality one but for casual gaming, you can get away with it.
