That 90's thread
Hey everyone. 😊 Since this year marks my 40th birthday ( 🤯 ) I've been feeling rather nostalgic...missing my younger days in what I would call the greatest decade ever: the 1990's. 💙💚💛 Some of ...
Hey again everyone. 😊
I know I've been posting a lot (sorry, but not sorry because I'm having tons of fun here 😁🤘🏻) which has probably made it hard for y'all to keep up... So be sure to go back and check some of the posts you've already seen because I've added photos from my game showcasing certain pieces of cc, as well as adding more applicable cc to the post. 👍🏻 I don't want y'all to miss anything. 😘
------------------------------------------------------
For this post I gotta throw out some love to one of the greatest RPG Franchises in the history of RPG's... Not just in the 1990's.
⭐FINAL FANTASY!⭐
Can I get an amen? 😄
Y'all my love for FF started when a friend from church let me borrow the computer version of Final Fantasy VIII (8). And my life was forever changed after that moment because when I popped that CD into our Windows 98 family computer and started playing, I instantly got HOOKED! 💗
Unfortunately the CD had a scratch on it. So bad that I wasn't able to fix it with those CD fix it kits. I couldn't get past a certain movie scene - no matter how many times I tried - and let me tell you what...it broke my heart. 😥 So much so that I scoured the internet searching for a Disk 1 replacement (even did a couple of bids on Ebay for one and lost right at the very last second BOTH times! 😩 Anyone else remember those crazy online bidding wars back then?) And so I had to give up on that game...
When I told my friend from church about that he expressed his sympathy and then was like, "Well how about you borrow my Final Fantasy VII (7) game instead? It's better than 8 anyway."
And you know what my friends... He was right! 😏 Gloriously right.
I was one of the few to play the original FF7 on the PC. 😊 And because I fell so madly in love with it as well, we ended up getting a Sony Playstation (yes, the original, obviously. 😜) and I purchased FF7 for that and played it until I beat it (cause I had to give back the PC game disk to my friend). Then a couple of years later I bought Final Fantasy IX (9) for my little brother for his birthday - mainly so I could play it too! 😆👍🏻 Good times my friends...such good times. 💜 Honestly the two of us had lost interest in FF8...mainly because we thought 7 and 9 were so much BETTER!
Eventually I was able to play Final Fantasy X (10) not long after it came out (on the Playstation 2) at my Sister's house when I was staying with them for a week over the summer. Oh man y'all...those graphics were freaking AMAZING at the time! A huge leap from the graphics in FF7! I was happy as a lark playing it and obviously couldn't beat the game in one week, so it was only later when I had my own PS2 that I was able to beat it. (With Strategy Guides! ⭐😁 I miss those books...)
Anyway!
Didn't mean to go into story-time there. 😆 The reason why I bring it up is because aisquared on MTS created some of the main FF8 characters in The Sims 3 and so graciously shared them with the world. I was especially impressed with their Squall and Rinoa:
Click on this link HERE and you'll be able to see a list of the other characters they created. Absolute PERFECTION with those Sims! ⭐
NOTE: These characters require a ton of cc, which the creator lists in the Description, but...I do not know how many of those links still work so....... sadly that is sometimes out of the creator's hands to fix. 🤷🏻♀️ So please keep that in mind when wanting to add these characters to your game. 🙂👍🏻
****I REALLY wanna do a post showcasing Final Fantasy 7 characters - Mainly Cloud, Aeris, Tifa, and Sephiroth, but...a lot of the cc for them has also disappeared from the internet unfortunately so it will be hard for me (and/or you) to track down. 😞 Sigh.****
Whatever FF7 cc I'm able to find that is worth creating a post on here for, I will.
Until then, peace out my friends. 🤘🏻 And Happy Simming!
