502 Bad Gateway Trying to Login to Sims 3 Store

I cannot log in through the button on the Welcome tab or on the Downloads tab. It just comes back with the login information populated and doesn't log in.

I went to store.thesims3.com and tried to log in there. I got the error "502 Bad Gateway". I don't get any errors attempting to log in with the launcher, but I suspect that the error on the Sims 3 Store is the reason I can't log in with the launcher. Can someone at EA do their magic to allow us to log in to the store again?

I have already done the following:

cleared the cache including cookies on both IE and Chrome (I don't have Edge installed on this PC)

completely killed the EA App using Task Manager

I am running the EA App as Administrator

I have a PC with Windows 10

    I keep getting this issue to and I wonder if my issues with items not being owned is part of this issue as well.

    @texansky and @graceymanors  I see this issue with the store site too, most of the times I login to the store (but not just now, lucky me).  Refreshing and trying to sign in again works.  Most of the time, I'm booted to the main site ( www.thesims3.com ) instead of the store, so it might be helping that I login from there.

    However, I was able to login to the launcher in macOS (version 1.70) and Windows (1.67/Steam) just now, and the launcher itself is loading normally as well.

    @graceymanors  @texansky   EA has been making changes. Pc users can get store items through the EA app. There is an option open downloads dashboard. There you can download store items. Sooner or later (probably sooner) pc users are going to have to use the EA app. IMHO I think it's actually easier then the store. I installed store items on 2 gaming computers and the items stay installed. Just checked the open downloads dashboard is working. There is an option to see your friends and badges. so it looks like the EA app is good to go.
