Okay thanks for explaining! I always heard '64 bit' and '32-bit' but didn't know what it actually was and how it related to my mac, but I'm glad to know now and by extension, I know a little bit more about RAM too.
Will update when it finishes, I got the laptop yesterday mid-day but it was actually updating to the October update and me,(used to Macs taking it's '45 mins update') was like: "Okay sure, I can take a take shower during that time." *comes back, it's still 'preparing to update'*
I think it took all night, or at least 6 hours to actually update before I fell asleep and went straight to work in the morning. I have to wonder if my dad's laptop is slow or if every windows user suffers hours-long-updates lol.
